How did Hoggle know who Sarah was when she introduced herself to him?
When Hoggle first sees Sarah he says, "Oh, it's you." Later, when he's spraying those fairies, she says her name is Sarah. Hoggle says, "That's what I thought." How did he know her?

Maybe the Labyrinth was used by the Goblin King for this kind of thing before. If there wasn't people trying to get through it, there wouldn't be any reason to have a labyrinth in the first place. Jeroth granted Sarah her wish and whose to say that there wasn't other wishers who got to the labyrinth but gave up because they didn't have Sarah's will. Jeroth may have been enamored by Sarah's innocence, charm, determination, beauty, and therefore singled her out for special attention. Hoggle may have seen other labyrinth wishers and meant "oh, it's you" as in "oh, it's another one". As far has Hoggle knowing her name, maybe Jeroth only grants wishers their wish if their name is Sarah. Maybe the "word" had spread through the labyrinth via the little stone-turner goblins or the worms or who knows what, and Hoggle heard that Sarah was coming to seek her way to the Castle. If Toby was to be turned into a Goblin, that could explain how the other Goblin's got there. But no one was strong enough (or had the desire to) make it through the labyrinth.

I agree that Jareth must have taken other children before. Even David Bowie in "Inside the Labyrinth" (a wonderful out-of-print documentary about the making of the film) says that he sees Jareth as a bored king who is (big paraphrase coming up) "stuck with yet another baby when the goblins have taken it upon themselves to steal him after somebody wished it." He feels Jareth wasn't thrilled about being stuck with another one, so this kind of thing must have been pretty frequent! I guess that if the goblins knew when somebody was wishing away a sibling, then other creatures would have known that someone was coming to rescue them, especially if finally someone regretted that they had said "the words". Maybe Sarah was the first to go after a lost sibling. She would be pretty famous and there would be lots of talk. Hmmm, I never though of it that way before. I think I'm getting smarter!

Remember Jareth was having Hoggle try to trick Sarah...
Hoggle knows who she is because Jareth has already told him about her etc etc
